Jalan2 Makan2 - Kuching Version

Mama had a list of things to do while in Kuching.. she missed Kuching so much that The Spring is also in her list. I actually like this place, hey.. where else to shop, this is a great mall with plenty of outlets for major brands, not quite a Pavillion , but this is the mall for every kid.. they have many toy shops and outlets for children clothes.. First, we went with babah..

Then we returned for the second time with usu Ima. We also love its food court, a great place with plenty of choices.. these pictures were taken while waiting for the movie @ MBO, mama brought me to see Nur Kasih The Movie, my first cinematic experience. We went there with Adeeb and Usu but Adeeb went home with Anjang.. Mama said the movie is not suitable for a one year old.. and I told mama, any movie will not be suitable for them.. except maybe Upin & Ipin..

Kak Neesa was already there with the rest, she joined RHB & NST's Spell it Right contest, after the meal we spent a moment watching the contest from afar so we didn't quite follow what was going on the stage. Before we know it, Kak Neesa was already eliminated from the contest, guess she spelled it wrongly..

Next, we went to e-Mart, this place was not in the original list, coz you see it's still not right there among major malls. This place is like a huge warehouse, you put partitions and rent them out cheaply. Of course they keep quite a large size of floor space for their own supermarket

Makan is definitely our favourite activities. We went with anjang, usu and their children to one of the most happening steamboats in town.. the place was not that pretty but they have plenty of choice, to boil or to grill.. and the price is surprisingly cheap.. but surprisingly Abang Haikal did not bother, as you can see, he was busy reading his comic book.. he said 'nothing can beat nekwan's ayam masak merah'..

when babah went back from Miri, we went there for the third time! This time we planned to watch Pirates of The Carribean but the queue for the ticket was kilometres long.. so we changed venue to Pelita but not before having lunch at the foodcourt, again.. hehe. We just could not resist their Nasi Arab with kambing and chicken.. yummmyyy!!

movie timeee!! while waiting for the next show, we went sightseeing at the Waterfront nearby.. The movie was okay.. and I slept half of it.. You see, I prefer watching DVD or Blu Ray at home.. you can stop it, you can pause it.. you can even rewind the movie if you didn't get what the villain was saying. But in the cinema, it's too dark and you can't really concentrate and then sometimes the picture quality is bad..

Next we went to The Boulevard with maknek and Kak Yani, we had great times playing at the playground with Kak Yani and babah while mama and maknek was shopping.. too bad we didn't spend much time here and we left just after Asar..

Welcome to Kuching - Home of the Meow

We return to Kuching in mid of May, 15 of May to be exact. It was Sunday and the weather was great. perfect day for flying..

We were lucky because the flight was right on schedule, well it was off by couple of minutes.. an acceptable delay should be not more than 15 minutes, by my own standard lah.. and I did not mind at all, coz that additional minutes give us more time to play around the airport.. hehe

still we were in time for a birthday celebration.. was it for Lydia, hmmm she is just months old, can hardly sit on her own, or is it for Syaza?

It was for Syaza, she turned two in May.. the party was great, we had games for kids, I didn't win anything but at least I was not crying when I lost, like one kid did, huhu.. You see, I must admit that I was a bit jealous at all the gifts that Syaza get, when we celebrated my 3rd birthday in Kajang, all I got for my birthday was a bicycle and a dol, you can see they were playing with my doll..

Hmm, we will spend 5 weeks here in Kuching, so if I'm acting nice with her, I may get to play her stuff hehe..

Bon Appetit - Before & After Mama's Day

Just like last year, we didn't celebrate the mother's day on the particular date this time around...to be frank, we strongly believe that special events such as valentine's day, father's day, and the list goes on were created solely for commercial purposes (though mama had been giving some hints on her wish list of gifts hehehe)...after all, we love and errr cherish mama every single day of our lives, not only on mother's day ;) so babah, don't expect we would secretly planning on surprises for the upcoming father's day hehehe

Anyway, the day before the official date of mother's day, mama and auntie Ma tagged us along to Equatorial Bangi for high tea. The best thing was, the awesome high tea was fully paid by auntie Salmah, cool ;) she's one of mama's colleague from Bintulu and she came to Serdang for a course

To our surprise, the choice of foods were aplenty for a high tea, ranging from malay to french cuisine yum yummm...it was more like a lunch buffet, and as expected we were not able to try every dish, I wished I had bigger belly ;)

These pictures just didn't do any justice...we had tried sooo many food you can imagine, but mama was too busy eating to snap the pics of every single food that we had ;)

But for me and adeeb, it wasn't for long coz soon after, we met new friends, a cute Maya and her sweet older sister (I couldn't remember her name)...surprisingly we've built up some kinda chemistry and we had so much fun together...adeeb was so shy to join us, but I noticed that he could not take his eyes off Maya *wink*wink* gotcha little brother hehe

The following week, we nagged babah to take us here again as we didn't manage to try out every thing hehehe...being such a good sport, he didn't object at all (well, that's my babah!), and we spent hours to satisfy our appetites

Looks like the same kinda food, but this time we tried our best to try food that we haven't try last week...but still, we felt that we have to come again next time, ya know just to make sure we have tried everything ;)

Okay ma, we have enough...adeeb couldn't handle it anymore hehehe

alright then, enough of the never ending tale of gastronomy, let's get back to business ;) I couldn't find any photo of mama cos ya know, she's kinda camera shy since she puts up some weight hehehe...anyway, mama, we love you so much, thank you for all the love and care, you're simply WOW *ummmpmaaahhh*
