New Home..

we moved into our new apartment right after we returned from Kuching in July, we have to delay this blog posting as the place is empty.. totally! Nothing to show.. as the furniture that we ordered have not been delivered as promised. The L-shaped sofa especially, the furniture mall in Balakong, where we bought most of the furniture, sent us the wrong one, and we only got the right sofa on their third attempt. Just imagine the lorry man had to climb 15 storeys, three times! until they got the right one, not to mention the hassle they have to endure getting permissions to enter the compound from the security guys.. hehe
So here it is.. it is a small apartment that babah and mama finally chose, we viewed few places, mostly around Bandar Baru Bangi, Kajang, and Sri Kembangan area and  my favorite is definitely Juta Mines, for its beautiful swimming pool. Mama was also smitten by its 'condo' feelings but unfortunately we had to abandon the plan as there is no nursery center nearby. The location of this apartment is a major deciding factor with lot of great restaurants, a hypermarket and a masjid is just a stone's throw away..
It has a nice view from our master bedroom, and from the balcony especially at night. On a clear day, we can see KL Tower and KLCC from here. Hopefully nobody will build a building in the path of the view in the future, so at the moment we can proudly claim that our apartment has KLCC view.. hehe..
The kitchen cabinet was the first thing that we ordered before we moved there, and it took just few hours to get it fixed.Well, all this, including hood and hob, cost mama about RM4,500, you wouldn't find cheaper price than this elsewhere..
Of all the places, I like our room the most, well, its PINK and it does look very very well organised in the photos above.. you should come and see how it looks now hehe.. the built-in wardrobe that we ordered from CLS took lots of space, the white wooden blind was bought from Ikea, and it was tricky to get it fixed to the wall. Anyway, we are glad that we have our own place we could call home.. we got to pick our own furniture, choose our favorite wall color, and the best thing is we don't have to worry about being ask to leave. We are no longer feeling at the mercy of the landlord..

A visit to KL Birds Park

We were on Air Asia flight to KL when I read about this place. It claim as the largest free flight walk-in aviary bird park in the world, if you know what that means, well I don't. So easy to be the largest meh? It probably is or otherwise they wouldn't dare to advertise it in a travel magazine, published by the Winner of World's Best Low Cost Airline for 3 consecutive years, so I think. I had been lobbying to go there but babah was not amused until one day when we didn't have any plan to kill our time during the weekend, and babah was to see his friend, who had just opened a restaurant in TTDI, that I managed to persuade him to bring us there, leave home early so we will be in time to have lunch at the restaurant after the birds park visit. And thanks to mama for suggesting the place as well.. otherwise, we would have just hanging around the house, or if we were lucky, we got to play at the playground, or visited Bintang Giant for durians.. ahhh... but, here we were..

See, it was a delight to be able to walk around and with so many species of birds we could only see in movies like RIO.. we could simply touch them, and grab them if we want to. I was about to grab one small bird until babah advised me not to.. it could be small, but it would peck my eyes with its beak in no time..

I like the red bird, but it didn't seem to bother playing with us human.. unlike other birds, this red bird is always busy looking into the water, probably preying on the fish for lunch..

I didn't know that ducks are actually.. err birds..

one good looking duck.. or err, bird, resting by the waterfall.. there are other birds, like emu, ostrich, various species of hornbills etc.

but, this is the main reason that I really wanted to visit this place.. the photo shoot with birds.. I saw them in the ads, it looks cool, where else you can take pictures with birds sitting on your lap? but I was so nervous during the photo session that babah had to hold my hand so I wouldn't run away, I was so scared that one of the birds would poke my eyes with their beaks, especially the one on babah's shoulder, and I have no idea that Adeeb is so much braver than me, until I saw them put the red bird on Adeeb's head.. But seriously, if you have nothing to do on weekend.. nowhere to take your kids to, this would be a good choice!

A Free Hotel Stay - Palm Garden IOI Resort

We returned to Kajang on 25th June, it was a hectic weekend for us as we were moving to our new apartment the same weekend. You see, babah has to return to Miri on the 28th and within that short period we have to clear our stuff from the house and move them to our new house. But before that, we need to do the necessary, like, clean the floor, paint the house, fix the new kitchen cabinets and shop for new furniture. Surprisingly we managed to do all that, of course major stuff first and leave the rest of the small stuff for babah next visit maybe by the end of July. Luckily he returned to visit us earlier, about a week after that, actually to attend a training. So it was a free trip and a free accommodation at Palm Garden Hotel in Putrajaya. To be honest, we've never heard of the hotel before, but it is a nice hotel owned by IOI Resort located next to Putrajaya Marriot. The room is spacious and has its own balcony, like having its own garden. We spent 2 nights there and while babah was having his training during the day, mama returned home and sent us to the kindy and we returned to the hotel in the afternoon.

We had our breakfast at the balcony, just simple breakfast coz babah didn't bring us to the restaurant as the training started early at 8.30 am, while we were still in bed, dreaming.

It was alright as we don't normally take big breakfast. But dinner is a must and that night we went for buffet dinner, except for mama, who preferred ala' carte order. I can't say much about the choice of food, or the lack of it, the Equatorial is very very much better. Well, that summed it all..

But we are not here for the food, right Adeeb? It's playtime...!!

We have the swimming pool, all for ourselves! We spent about an hour there, coz the pool will be closed at 7 pm. But it was enough to turn our eyes red and swell our hand.. and it was time to call it a day. It was a pity we can't use the pool the next day because babah will have to check out.. I wonder if we ever going to stay here in the future.. could be, if babah is to have another training here, lets just pray for it Adeeb.. Aminn..
